If you've visited the shelter recently you may have noticed a new paint job but you probably didn't know about all the work going on behind the scenes. We hope you'll be pleased with the efforts being made to improve the shelter. Stay tuned for full details!
THE "FRIENDS OF" COALITION
Sept 19th
Now that you know what Friends of LCAS is maybe you've noticed other 'Friends of' pages for other counties shelters? We're not all connected and I'm not sure who started it first but it's really caught on in West Tennessee. After following Shelby, Tipton, and Haywood's pages progress we reached out to a few of the admins and have tried to learn as much as we can about what they're doing so well. These are ALL volunteer started groups! It's exciting to see so many dedicated people fight for the animals in their county and actually make huge improvements. We're only here now because of the groundwork they've laid and the guidance they've provided so HUGE THANKS to the amazing volunteers who answer our hundreds of questions! We're so proud to share the same mission as other 'Friends of' groups and can't wait to be a part of the positive progress happening.
